Water Lines in The Hookah

The water lines that are attached to your hookah base are traces of minerals in your water that naturally occur. Minerals such as magnesium, calcium, and iron are found in all natural water sources.

As the water evaporates, these minerals might leave an ugly deposit on your glass hookah base. While the amount of minerals left behind is minimal, the more you use your hookah, the more probable these Aeon lounge lines will form.

Water lines are more prone to develop in users who live in places where tap water is “hard” and unfiltered. Although “soft” filtered Aeon premium water contains minerals, it contains fewer than “hard” untreated water. The water lines will become more obvious with time if you do not properly maintain your hookah and clean it after each session.

Ingredients In Shisha Tobacco
Water lines will appear on hookah bases as a result of the tobacco smoke. Molasses, honey, glycerin, and any other substances added to your shisha tobacco can produce this. These additions might also generate unattractive rings in the base of your hookah. They are not hazardous to you or your hookah, but they can be unsightly.

Poor Hookah Hygiene & Maintenance
Mold can form between the lines of a hookah base that has been neglected. Although mold does not grow in every water line, it does cohabit. Just because your hookah has water lines doesn’t mean mold is developing in it. Don’t throw out the hookah base just yet; pay attention to the color and texture of these lines. Mold development is usually indicated by greenish or blackish colors.
